We are seeking to appoint a Manager to lead the continuing growth of our Tailings team.  Our tailings / civil professionals provide comprehensive planning, feasibility, design and construction support services to a diverse range of clients. 

  

Position Accountability

As the Tailings Manager you will lead, develop and mentor a medium sized team of Engineers. The key responsibility of the role is ensuring that your team has the materials and resources available to them to deliver on time, on budget and safely. In addition, attaining financial targets for the group, sustainable growth of the group’s revenue, managing risk and ensuring technical accuracy together with your ability to maintain effective relationships with leaders across the business will see you succeed in this role. Your client relationship skills will be exceptional and allow you to secure work for GHD.

Relevant Experience:  5 - 7 Years Education Level:  Bachelors Degree
    Career Level:  Project Manager

Qualified applicants must have, or be able to obtain within 6 months, a Georgia PE and have at least 5 to 7 years experience in Commercial and Institutional design and/or investigation and writing of cause and origin (C&O) reports related to structural damage for insurance companies. Our work product is time sensitive and requires us to investigate insurance damage claims in a timely manner, usually conducting the investigation and preparing the final report within a two-week period. Our work involves the evaluation of insurance losses in both commercial buildings and residential homes. Our clients represent the top insurance providers in the United States; our working area is primarily the State of Georgia. Travel to and from the project site is usually accomplished in one work day and is accessed by a company-provided vehicle. This position may also require you to provide expert testimony on behalf of our clients. The position requires an excellent driving record, strong verbal and written communication skills, and computer program competency (i.e, Excel, Word). Construction management experience is an asset.
