Qualified applicants must have or be able to obtain a Florida PE and have 7 to 10 years experience in Commercial and Institutional design that can investigate and write cause and origin (C&O) reports related to structural damage for insurance companies. Our work product is time sensitive and requires us to investigate insurance damage claims in a timely manner, usually conducting the investigation and preparing the final report within a two-week period. Our work involves the evaluation of insurance losses in both commercial buildings and residential homes. Our clients represent the top insurance providers in the United States; our working area is primarily the State of Florida. Travel to and from the project site is usually accomplished in one work day and is accessed by a company-provided vehicle. As a Professional Structural Engineer, you will spend approximately 30% to 40% of your time in the field. This position may also require you to provide expert testimony on behalf of our clients. The position requires an excellent driving record, strong speaking and writing skills, and computer program competency (i.e., Excel, Word). Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction, and project management experience required. An advanced engineering degree is an asset.
